Humboldt Club Ukraine
Humboldt Club Ukraine is a public organization, which from the 1999 unites the former Humboldt Fellows and Humboldt Research Awardees coming from Ukraine.
Since 1981 the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has granted more than 150 fellowships to Ukrainian scientists from different famous research centers of Ukraine located in Kyiv, Kharkov, Odessa, Lviv, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoi Rog, Chernivtsi, Simferopol, Sevastopol.
The representatives of various disciplines were supported. Among others, there are physics, mathematics, informatics, chemistry, biology, mineralogy epidemiology etc.
Up to now the dominated part of the professional occupation of Ukrainian Humboldt Fellows possesses natural sciences: approximately 80% of all Ukrainian Humboldt Fellows.
The main directions of the activity of the Humboldt Club Ukraine are the establishment and development of professional and personal contacts between Ukrainian and German scientists, involvement of the young Ukrainian scholars to the high quality international research projects, assistance in the improvement of fundamental and applied research system in Ukraine in the light of word recognized achievements.
